About Us !We are a business based in Cardiff. I run a Wedding Photography business and a Legal Services business. More importantly is the fact that we just love animals. I have 5 dogs with me. All have come from animal sanctuaries or government animal shelters, with the exception of one. It would tear me apart to know that one of mine was missing. The heartbreak and anguish that comes with that dreaded feeling of despair. Many times I see dogs roaming the streets and I think to myself “Is this animal lost” or “Has it just been turned out onto the street and will not be let back into the house until later in the day?” It saddens me when people do this as they are clearly not responsible owners. I also made a visit to the local council animal shelter in Cardiff, which I do frequently, only to find that the R.S.P.C.A. animal shelter next door had recently closed down. That meant that the council shelter, who were usually overflowing with strays, would be unable to accept any more dogs. Much to my surprise the council pound was only half full. Which left me asking myself what was happening to the rest of the strays? Either people were becoming very responsible at an amazing rate (wishful thinking, but a nice thought anyway) or more dogs were being destroyed after a very short period of being held. I didn’t ask as I was too scared that I would be given an answer that I didn’t want to hear ! So we have put this site together to try and help people who have lost their animals in the South Wales area. Mainly aimed at South – Mid Glamorgan and Gwent, but we will help where ever there is a need. This site is in its infancy right now and so there may be some teething problems along the way to start with. These will be rectified as we come across them. If you have lost a pet, just send us a photograph and details of where, when last seen and your contact details too. We will put these up on site as soon as we can (We will try for the same day as we hear from you). If you have found a lost animal, then, please forward as much information as possible and we will try and re-unite it with its owner. Hopefully we, along with members of the public, will be able to make some difference and get owners & pets back together a little faster. We will leave your lost ad up on our site for as long as possible. Please inform us when you have found your pet so that we can make way for another missing pet.. This is a FREE SERVICE for animal lovers! Yours for the animals, Keith Protheroe |
